I just got back from Dataran Merdeka.

I’m bad with numbers - so I can’t tell you if it was 100,000 people. It certainly was very easily in the tens of thousands. Also pretty difficult to tell when the whole stretch of the road from Dataran Merdeka to the National Mosque was an ocean of people, they were spilling into the side streets, and in the mosque compound, in the nearby Pusat Islam compound.

They had apparently been told to move from Dataran Merdeka, so the crowd proceeded to the compound of the National Mosque facing Pusat Islam. To their credit, the police kept a low profile, and the crowds behaved peacefully.

It was a mixed bag - families, students, yuppies - of all races, though the majority was Malay. Though it was hear-warming to see this 60-year old Chinese pensioner standing next to me punching his fist into the air and shouting “Reformasi!” - who says it is only the young who want change?

Anwar Ibrahim arrived about 4:30pm to deafening cries of “Reformasi”. They didn’t have a proper PA system, so he had to use a loudhailer. He played the fiery orator to the hilt - but the person who won me heart-and-soul was Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

She was tower of strength by his side - and when she spoke it was electric - she had all the passion of a woman who’s husband had been wronged and the calm determination of the righteous confronting the full forces of darkeness.

There was a moment of tension when someone shouted that there was a TV3 crew around, and a few rowdies pelted them with empty drink packets momentarily to shouts of “Penipu!” “Anjing!”… I, unfortunately, had a Coke bottle, and I didn’t want to hurt anyone accidentally.

But Anwar ordered them to calm down, quipping, “Let them do their job … I definitely know that particular crew secretly supports me!”

The crowd proceeded to Dataran Merdeka after that - no one could stop them now, there was a virtual sea of people. From the stage of Dataran Merdeka, Wan Azizah again spoke, delivering the Pledge of September 20, and she was even more electric than at the mosque. The crowd was then asked to disperse peacefully.

I think we are seeing a real leader come out from the wings - they say real character emerges and the best comes out of people during adversity - whatever happens to Anwar, Wan Azizah has my unreserved vote. Definitely First Lady material, maybe even first woman PM material too!

Today’s rally was also, personally, a nostalgic experience. 24 years ago in 1974, I was a young punk going to what was then the Selangor Library (behind the Selangor Club) to do some mugging for my LCE exams.

I walked down towards the Selangor Club Padang only to see hundreds of young people running towards me being pursued by FRU troopers. It was the 1974 student demonstrations against poverty in Baling. Tear gas canisters were exploding around me, batons were waving, some kids had blood on their clothes.

I was caught in the wave of people running for sanctuary in the National Mosque - but they were pursued even there. FRU with batons and shields strutting in their boots in a National Mosque that choked of tear gas is a something I will never forget in all my life - it changed me forever.

A few days later, a young Abim kid, Anwar Ibrahim, delivered a speech at Bukit Kerinchi to the protesting students - I was there too. Today, my apartment block rests on that very spot where he talked to them.

How things have changed - and not changed.

Some hours after this was written and posted over the Internet, police and demonstrators clashed just outside the residence of the prime minister. Anwar Ibrahim was arrested that evening and detained without trial under the ISA. He was not to be seen until many days later at his first court appearance, with an injured eye.

American Revolution, China Revolution, Indonesia Revolution have blood spilt on the face of the people. Only Malaysia reformation have not been war between brothers till now. He done the right thing by going to dethrone the corrupted regime by a gentlemen way. Its not matter late afew days, weeks or even months, as long the justice is served. If Anwar really mad at power, he can easily ask for a huge demonstration to kick them out of Putrajaya. They have been in power so many years, they will be clinging and fight using all their dirty tricks in the bags to stop this sacred reform. This is our only choice. Its the critical time now. Let push everything all the way to Putrajaya. We want to have a fair goverment rather than a goverment lead by all the samseng and racist leader. All the best, Malaysia! Lets pray and fight this LAST battle. This is a pledge from a Malaysian to all Malaysians out there. Thanks for those who always stand up and fight for the rights of all malaysian. Those who still do not sign the petition to abolish the draconian law, please do so. Thanks again

An Earthquake victim hold Chinese Flag upside-down during the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic as a signal of “Nation in Distress” due to the earthquake. China is more open than Malaysia! Original source

I found Al Ghazali in Dang Wangi
As the reporters rushed to shoot question to me, I asked them, who is The Prime Minister, one reporter for a TV Station, smiled and said, “Pak Lah lagi”, and I said, “Kalau macam tu saya nak masuk lokap baliklah…” I then turn away from them.

Staying inside the police lock-up in Kota Bharu Police Station and in Dang Wangi Police Station was a very memorable and peaceful experience. I found solitude and I felt very close to god.

I spent my time praying and recite Quran verses. I found a wonderful time to pray for Mama and Abah. My confidence grew and I took all the barrage of insults and turn them into respects. As I walked pass the other detainees for the last time, they took turn to shake my hand. I entered the lock-up as a humble man fighting for the small people, when I left, those small people in the lock-up looked at the small man in me as one of their friend. I shouted ‘Makkal Sakthi” trice and say my salaam. They clapped their hands in return.
One of the Police Personnel there told me he would start blogging immediately after he finished his shift for the day. All of them, yes I mean all, asked me to help to fight for the Polis DiRaja Malaysia as they said, their morals it at the lowest.

I told the press, I got more infos about the police rather than the police getting infos about me and I told the press that we should send Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to the lock-up, so he will finally find his Ghazali. I told the press, I enjoyed my time there and it is a treasure for me. I strongly believed it would be good for Dollah too.

My lawyer and me agreed that I should be charged so we can fight this politically motivated case in court. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will be one of the witnesses I will call to the stand. Others will include Shahrir Abdul Samad and Deputy Minister Saifuddin Abdullah.

I will ask my lawyer to let me throw questions to Dollah. I hardly wait for the moment.
I had such a great 4 days 3 nights holiday with PDRM and I knew they too enjoyed my company. I made more buddies in the 4 days than I made in a year. I have no complaint about the food, as that is the reality of those poor and small people for which I am fighting.

Of course I do not anticipate Ramadan Buffet during this holiday as that will be a sin for me because those people whom I fight for, never ever even heard the word buffet, leave aside imagining about it in their life’s.
On behalf on my readers, families and friends and myself too, let us thank Chief Inspector Mohd Azuan Hussin, Detective Sabri and Detective Mahathir, Sergeant Halim and all the high-ranking officers in the PDRM for taking a good care of your beloved Kickdefella. Although it would not be a good idea to be seeing you guys often, let me just say this… You are really jolly good fellas.

Saudara/Saudari,

Hello DSAI,

Malaysians understand your shortfalls since Pak Lah cant faced the reality of the change in the political games in Malaysia. DSAI and Pakatan Rakyat want an order peaceful transition of power without civil conflict among races. DSAI and PR must be cautioned that the used of ISA to arrest the media, politician and blogger by the police indirectly signalled the Opposition PR to stop the plan to takeover the federal government by all means. Malaysians thumb up PR and DSAI actions to ensure the nation remain a peaceful and harmony country.

What a shame to Peak comments? Singapore Lee Kuan Yew has been ruling Singapore with his iron fist regime and past down to his son for many years to come. Singaporeans are silent for past decades because they are grateful with your good governance leaders of PAP parties. PAP is a multiracial party for all Singaporeans. Unfortunately, the Opposition leaders are made bankrupts and jailed in Singapore if they continue to spread lies towards PAP leaders. We, Malaysians agreed with PAP leaders using a CAT system to govern Singapore free of corruptions, cronyism and nepotism. Unfortunately, many smart Singaporeans also migrated to other countries because they felt fed up with PAP leaders on their power grip and poor Opposition leaders to check and balance on the PAP strong political power. Peak is not a Malaysian will not understand the problems in UMNO-BN leads government has been deteriorated over the years since Tun Dr M and Pak Lah took over the power from past PMs in Malaysia. ]

It is time for DSAI is the only Opposition leader is brave enough to chanllenge the draconian ISA law and UMNO-BN government. As mentioned in HardTalk interviewed with Tun Dr M about the problem of poor governance and corrupt government under Pak Lah leadership. Tun also demanded Pak Lah to step down and let another capable leader to run the nation in Malaysia. Victor, we understand your disappointment about DSAI promise to become PM on 916 National Day. Yes, he can do it if the BN leaders are gentlement to let him called for an emergency Parliament session to vote of no confidence against Pak Lah and proof to them that PR obtained 31 frog MPs to join PR and form a new federal government in Malaysia. All Malaysians are keeping their finger crosses to wait and see on the final move by DSAI and PR to convince the DYMN Agong to allow DSAI to meet him in a special audience in Istana.

Peak and Victor, thanked for your open comments and we accepted such critisms with open minds and hearts. I, a bangsa Malaysian also shared your concern on the latest political development in Malaysia. Nevertheless, it is time Malaysians want a total change of federal government to abolish BN, ISA, corrupt leaders, cronies, nepotisms, high crime rates and other social ills. In fact, I was offered to become a Singaporean and surrender my Malaysian citizen after obtaining my tertiary scholarship to study in NUS. But I declined and decided to work in bank cum study professional accountancy degree at a local college. Yes, the UMNO BN government has been racist and injustice over many policies like education policy for decades in Malaysia.

IT IS TIME TO ABOLISH ISA AND ABOLISH BN, MALAYSIANS PRAY TO GOD THAT OUR ONE NATION, ONE RACE, ONE SYSTEM AND ONE DREAM IS A TRUTH MOMENT FOR MALAYSIA.

Dato’ Seri’..

Sudah menjadi tradisi sejak belia lagi, Kg Kerinci bukan asing lagi kawasan yang mula-mula Dato’ Seri berkempen…. Cuba lihat ‘diary’ Dato ‘ Seri… Kg. Kerinci adalah tempat mula berkempen.

Dan Dato’ Seri berjanji untuk mengecat semula Flat-flat PKNS ini sekiranya menang……dan tolonglah maklum pada Y.A.B Tan Sri Abd Khalid Ibrahim, Menteri Besar Selangor……!

Apa-apa pun mereka tetap mengucapkan terima kasih kpd Dato’ Seri menanam jiwa mereka dengan erti keadilan selama ini.

Salam Eidul Fitri dan Maaf Zahia Batin.

10 years ago…Malaysians actually woke up and wanted change…seeing how cruel and dictatorial Mahathir was.
Then….the “People’s PM”….so nice…so humble..so sincere………91% Malaysians gave him a chance.
Turned out to be another liar….. another corrupted hypocrite.
When I read the post…I thought it was current news..current event.
Then noticed…it is looking back to 10 years ago.
What have changed 10 years ago …compared to now….is that more than 65% Malaysians support Anwar.
How will that be related to a rally..if not control be road blocks and no permits?
Now he is a Parliamentarian…and PM in waiting….10 years ago die hard supporters of Anwar..have not been disappointed.
But day by day…..UMNO is a pain in the arse.

Hope PKR become Malaysia goverment quickly, and then cancel the ISA rule. ISA was using for manage the Comunis era for make sure “Rakyat” is safely n freely. But now is vise versa.. BN now mark “pendapat rakyat” as comunis and detain them without the reasonable prove where the ISA detainee could not have a chance to prove of the truth.

ISA is not for malaysian safty, but as the weapon for make sure current BN GOV is stay at the top level…

BN=Barang naik.. is the was very very suitable name.

Before people is less educated (percentage), but now got many university, poli, uitm, & others. The next generation almost is a educated person & they now the thruth even you lie on the TV.
For info, all current media (TV1, TV2, TV3, NTV7, TV8, TV9, UTUSAN, BHarian, metro N many more) is under BN control. All educated know this and they read/watch as the joke that entertain them.

The UITM student that stupid receive money from BN to walk on the public = Fake BN support.

Rasuah?.. no need to talk.. is no end of this.. BUT BN is a SUPER ADVANCE BIG RASUAH THINKER!!
Especially in the Dollah Badawi era.

It’s many this to release here but TOO MANY to write.. im lazy…

YB DSAI,

Datuk Seri

I really hope you can be the next prime minister. I hope that when you have taken that position, that you can take into consideration the message of the article below, amongst many urgent issues confronting us, into your planning for the country. Let us for once be proactive instead of reactive.

The news speak of possible coming ice age because the next sun spot cycle has not started as predicted. It is too much to ask any government to take action based on hearsay but I do hope we are able to get out of our political malaise in order to take charge of the changing condition of the world around us. Hopefully you can direct the right agency to look into such problem and see what impact would Malaysia face. This is the second time I have seen such report of a coming ice age, the first for mainstream media, while the first one was from those many consider alternative media. This goes against the established global warming dogma.

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,23583376-7583,00.html

In the mean time, my best wishes to you in your endeavour for a better Malaysia.

Sept 16 is a significant symbol, not tat dragon will rise and the sky will be shaken, it is we as a rakyat are ready for a change….it is unwise for us to keep predicting when the sky will change, the dragon will rise. it is not matter it will happen or not, it is matter of time…..WE will change , we fear not deception
60 years ago we have once a hero like anwar, tat is Dato Onn Jaafar, but why he never succeed??? Because we ARE NOT READY….HOW can anwar lead a reformation when we are not ready and dont even wan to change
IF dato onn jaafar tat day hold on wiht his post as UMNO presiden, Maybe now we are a multirasional country, singapore might never split with us
THINK ABOUT IT

yes, that day on Sept 20th made me a changed man from being all goody goody with the Govt to a person disilussioned.Hence,a new era of politics began.Since then, no turning back.Wonder what has happened to Sabri Zain?Last i heard he has been staying in London.
Anyway, now change is gonna happen as the cycle of 10 years for change is now n in Malaysian history,30 years is the cycle for a big change in politics.May the power fo Allah SWT be with us to see a new Malaysia.

YB Datuk Seri,

berkaitan dgn tangkapan ISA teresa kok….mungkin nielah yg Allah SWT nak tunjukkan kpd org Islam the true colour of teresa kok.

tapi dlm masa yg sama….pemimpin macam teresa kok nie jugak perlu “dimansuhkan”.

BE END.

Dear Dato Seri,

I have sources that Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tuanku Mizan will be going to Makkah send by the BN goverment for 10 day. This is another tactic of the BN goverment to delay the take over process. Even though they can delay but eventually what ever tactic they use I am confident the Pakatan Rakyat will be able to takeover the BN goverment only matter of time.

Daulat Tuanku.

Saya masih ingat falsafah sebuah syarikat MNC dari German “CHANGE IS AN OPPURTUNITY”.

Berjaya kerajaan BN memandaikan rakyatnya seperti kamu. Tapi sayang….kamu hanya melihat video demonstrasi (memang: Orang buat onar perlukan hukuman: mengganggu ketenteraman awam).

Berfikir dahulu sebelum bertindak, jangan terantuk baru tengadah..
