One RPK is Enough, Not Another One
Sheih Kickdefella two postings that pun the movie title, "We Know What You Did Last Christmas" is quiet a revelation. But, it raised quite a concern.
One posting is on Abdullah and Nuri replacment which allegedly had son Kamaluddin as "agent" from Eurocopter that was given the contracts.
The other is a close resemblance to Raja Petra Kamaruddin (RPK) style of unfolding a story.
He claimed Najib sent letters to Ambassadors of few Europeans countries for Altantunya's safe entry. Malaysian diplomats witnessed Altantunya as part of the Malaysian entourage.
Another sensational revelation is Rosmah paid RM5 million for Bala to return to India.
Shieh claimed his information came from police during his stay in. Whether that is true or false, he must reveal his source.
Will he get them to help in court if he plan to replicate RPK's stunt? Mind you, two police officers, RPK claimed was at the scene of the Altantunya blow-up with Rosmah, is now sueing RPK.
Writers, inclusive journalist and bloggers, should stick to writing to bring change and not become news. Dumb move, blog-brother Shieh. Dumb.
Background
Few years before the 12th General Election and the early years of Socio-Political Blogging, there exist a silent comradeship between bloggers, be it a somewhat formal grouping like All Blog or a loose understanding called Band of Bloggers or a group of friendly bloggers without a name.
There was an unstated understanding that transcend beyond partisan, ideological and activism affiliation to talk in unison concerning a certian issue. Malaysia Today (MT) then helped to promote these disparage views into a public discussion. That made blogs a powerful tool to push issues censored by the mainstream media into public knowledge.
Prior to the GE12, blogs and MT took a stand on issues and culminated into one of the biggest public demonstration, the BERSIH cum Yellow Wave demonstration. Subsequently, there was the Hindraf rally but the support was not as wide since its agenda was ethnic.
After the General Election, MT took a different direction in line with its new page makeup. The opposition oriented blogs generally changed along and took up the Pakatan Rakyat/PKR and Hindraf agenda. No more are issues on MT discussed with a wide ranging perspective, but with a clear propaganda agenda.
The agenda, that used to be about getting Abdullah, Khairy and the Tingkat 4, suddenly turned apologetic towards them. In place, it became Najib bashing and propelling Anwar to takeover Government through frogging MPs.
From Writer To News
With that as a background, RPK changed from a man churning news, stories and articles to one becoming part of the event.
Writers, poets, playwrights, and novelist play a role in igniting change in society and in the battle of ideas. But that batton has to be passed on to others to continue. It seemed now bloggers are no more churning personal opinion on events but are becoming part of the event.
When Raja Petra Kamaruddin was faced with a string of arrests, charges and lawsuits over various allegations he made in his "third party" statutory declaration (SD) allegation against Najib via Rosmah, it puts many bloggers, including yours truly in a spot between Freedom of Speech and Information and respecting the Law and Institution of Government.
The SD made was suspect and difficult to fathom. In the light of the ongoing Altantunya murder trial, it was contemptuous of the courts. RPK grew bolder, maybe out of his own conviction, releasing many other statutory declarations like that of the missing Balasundram. It remaisn as stamped heresay and subjected to police investigation.
Many bloggers felt RPK was inviting trouble for himself from his allegedly "seditious" (as per the Sedition Act) writings. True enough, RPK is now not only faced with those legal issues but the extra legal ISA for practically indefinite period.
Is it worthy being detained for an allegation that has yet to be determined as true? Shouldn't bloggers have some level of responsibility, integrity or the least, maintain a safe level of rationale and conviction in their writings?
More so, for those with a name to the blog and command a good following.
----------------------------
Brother Sheih, Please la ... Make a police report and reveal your proofs there. And, respectfully follow the court process accordingly. If tehre is a case, go slug it out in court. No RPK-esque stunt.
If you wish to write, substantiate any serious allegations made. More so, for capital offense like murder where the burden of proof is heavy. Reveal real documents and not just statutory declared heresay. Otherwise, you can go down for making baseless allegation and fabrication.
Writers have to stay around to keep the fire burning. We have to live to fight another day. Remember that you haven't Kickdefella. One shouldn't assume it is an easy and given path ahead.
The last thing you should do is to make your exposure now. It is clearly seen to discredit Najib based on unfounded claims and not about seeking truth, justice and championing RPK's release.
Sincerely, I hope Shieh has no such intention to spoil Najib's critical D Day next week and allow Abdullah safe passage. Not only Abdullah wants to stay around, even Anwar wants him around.
My struggle and fight over the years boils down to next week. The priority is about removing Abdullah from further causing more destruction and chaos to the nation.
However, I am not crazy with the idea of taking RPK out using ISA. It demeans the mainstream thinking and Malay Nationalist belief is seen without the ability and justification to articulate its point of view sensibly and logically.
As Dr Mahathir said in a press conference after his recent book launch in Ramadhan, ideas and opinions does not constitute national security.
I want him release from ISA. But getting RPK out of Kemunting is a tough battle.
One RPK is enough. Not another one ... Shieh

I disagree entirely -- people have the right to discuss whatever they like in blogs, so long as it doesn't amount to hate speech, etc. That is interesting speculation, obviously to be taken with a grain of salt, and there are no good grounds to sensor or censure it.
The responsibility for how information is used afterwards -- if people believe it with scepticism or if they believe it blindingly -- is the responsibility of the reader, not the blogger. If we have bad readers, then we should go after them, not the blogger.

Maybe it's something simplier. Maybe some people simply wear their heart on the sleeve and not too gifted in politicking. This type is normally rare but maybe some even exist in Malaysia. If truth is one of their principles then maybe they want to say what they think as the truth, no holds barred. Afterall, a principles is not something you hold dear only when it is convenient to you....If indeed they speak the truth, then the truth will set them free, Allah knows better...

Kickbacks for the Kicker?
I have been receiving many emails over the last week or so on the same subject matter. The authors of these email claim that there are bloggers under the payroll of one of the leaders of an Opposition party who is eager to become Prime Minister.
The E-mails claimed that these bloggers have been paid a large sum of money, and even a retainer, to discredit Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak. The aim is to prevent Najib from becoming Prime Minister. The person who is paying these bloggers does not want Najib to become Prime Minister simply because he is capable of repairing the damage done by Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and returning Umno and Barisan Nasional to their original strength. If that happens, the Opposition will be buried.
In the absence of pure facts and substance, these bloggers resort to lies. They can even come up with absurd theories like those linking Najib and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor to the murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shahibuu. I was told that Raja Petra Kamaruddin was one of those who was being paid. In RPK's case, it was quite obvious. But now that he is serving a two-year term under the Internal Security Act (ISA), the money is going to another blogger.
I didn't believe it at first. But when I read his latest posting under the heading "We Know What Najib and Spouse Did Last Raya", it has become quite obvious.

Bro , most top bloggers have a political agenda and a political Boss... they do report for somebody and to somebody.Since the internet is the perfect tool of the day,i wouldnt be suprised if most of them are on the payroll .Since non of them are Uniformed background,i dont buy the shit that they are doing it for "guts and glory" or for the "perjuangan Bangsa dan Negara".Some are blatant in their so called factual reporting without a shread of evidence.End of the day i figure its berapa you boleh sendai sama gua.Ever wonder why Anwar's deafening silence over the RPK ISA issue is not mentioned by the Pakatan Bloggers ?
Thanks for the space and Shalom !

The "paid" bloggers are readily identifiable. They spin current issues into the agenda of their boss(es). Plus they will relentlessly attack the opposing camp.
The "perjuangan bangsa dan negara" blogs are now mushrooming at the rate of a couple dozen a day. These are Malays tired of the toothless leadership and the blatant provocations of the minorities.
99% are not on anybody's payroll as these are the not so articulate "amateurs," mostly youths and pensioners venting their anger at the non-Malays.

The “thirteen million plus Ringgit” guy rambles….
Ramblings and doodlings of an unsettled mind! What agenda is Kickdefella up to this round?
Another blogger joined the baseless accusation train. Bad enough that Raja Petra Kamaruddin, then Malaysia Today editor (now ISA detainee in Kamunting Camp), rabidly lambasted unbelievable stories about DPM Dato’ Seri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak and later wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor being directly involved in the murder and cover up of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaaribuu. Now we have blogger Kickdefella, with another propesterous story on how private investigator Balasubramaniam was paid a hefty sum of money.
Has the famous poster-maker turned political blogger any shred of evidence on these serious accusations? This is nowhere near being in the band of “skepticism”.
The timing is also a factor. At the finest moment where DPM Najib is said to be nominated as the most popular and likely candidate (within the purview of UMNO members and delegates) for UMNO Presidency, stories like this is being published and meant to attract adverse reactions.
The title is also damning, especially on the day most sacred and important for majority Muslim Malays. UMNO Divisions are supposed to start the annual general meetings beginning 9 October 2008 and nominations for the Presidency will be closely watched, not amongst UMNO members, but the whole world at large.
UMNO President PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is at the verge of getting kicked out from UMNO. Even there are skepticism about him wanting still to be nominated, despite the strong views MT UMNO thrown against him three weeks ago, it is still pertinent that the pressure to show PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah & co the door. Of course, it is not without within the UMNO vine, to nominate the most likely candidate which is the Deputy President DPM Najib.
These stories bloggers like Raja Petra and Susan Loone astrociously threw against DPM Najib are connivingly on the same tone that Anwar Ibrahim started, made commonly known during the Ijok by-elections April 2007. Conveniently, these people work closely together within the ambit of PKR. Their strategy had been consistently to assasinate DPM Najib’s credibility and integrity in the eyes of the public and somewhat successful, if measured from the bloggosphere user. Theory has it that UMNO Supremo PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah is on a self destructing time bomb and ready to explode and to constantly hit against DPM Najib is the way to drive the last nail into UMNO’s coffin.
What does Sheih Kickdefella expect from this posting? Get arrested another round, for ‘investigations’? He was picked up recently for posting the Malaysian flag upside down, which is deemed seditious.
Bloggers should be responsible with their scoops. We hope he really have incriminating evidence on this new accusations thrown to make the situation much more complex than it already has, especially from the eyes of bloggosphere users. Otherwise, posting like this will just cause confussion and demean the real role of bloggers: as provider of alternative media.

Technorati: Blogging for profits, for bloggers and marketers
By Erina Lin, Friday 26 September 2008 at 23:17 :: Online/Digital Publishing :: #2359 :: rss
Technorati has released the last two sections of its annual report, “State of the Blogosphere,” revealing how bloggers monetize their sites, and how the blogosphere impacts brands.
According to the Technorati’s survey, the majority of bloggers have advertising on their blogs. To marketers and advertisers, blogs offer high-quality content and thus attract growing, loyal audiences.
“Bloggers with advertising are more sophisticated in terms of their use of tools, advertising platforms and even events to build reader loyalty,” notes Technorati in the fourth section of the report, “Blogging For Profit.” They tend to spend more time and money on their blogs.
Blogs have also become an information change platform for consumers - over four in five bloggers post product or brand reviews. And companies are already reaching out to them: over 30 percent of bloggers have been approached to be brand advocates, according to the last section of the report, “Brands Enter The Blogosphere.”
Advertising on blogs
Currently 46 percent of bloggers don’t have any advertising on their sites, according to the survey. The most common reasons include ad clutter, lack of interest and low traffic numbers. Only very few said it was because of not knowing how to set up advertising. “Bloggers are savvy and self sufficient, so when they are ready to accept advertising they will have no problems figuring out how to best approach it for their blog,” Technorati reported.
On average, professional and corporate bloggers tend to have search ads, display ads and affiliate marketing more than personal ones.
Among those who adopt advertising, two out of three have contextual ads, such as Google AdSense, while one-third have affiliate advertising. About 20 percent negotiate directly with advertisers, while one out of 10 sells advertising through a blog ad network.
Twenty-eight percent of bloggers uses at least three means of advertising, according to the report.
Average annual revenue
Based on the survey results, the average annual blogger revenue is more than US$6,000. However, the number is skewed due to the top one percent of bloggers who make over $200k a year. For those bloggers having more than 100,000 unique visitors per month, the average income was $75,000, while the median for this group is only $22,000.
Bloggers with advertising invest $1,800 a year on average in their blogs. Those in U.S. earn $5,000 on average, while in Asia and in Europe the average income are 50 percent and 75 percent higher, Technorati reported.
Brands enter the blogosphere
Discussion and opinions about brands and products are very common on the blogosphere. More than 80 percent of bloggers post product or brand reviews, as well as brands they love or hate. Interestingly, men and women are equally likely to do so, according to Technorati.
Marketers have already noticed the important role blogs play in terms of promoting the brand. One out of three bloggers has been approached to be a brand advocate, more than 60 percent of whom were offered payments or some kinds.
Blogs as an Information Source
The report found that bloggers believe that blogs will become more important as an information source. About 20 percent bloggers don't think that newspapers will survive the next 10 years, while 50 percent believe that blogs will be a primary source for news and entertainment in the next five years.
Bloggers’ Media Usage
U.S. bloggers have significant differences in media usage compared to the average U.S. adults. They spend twice as much time on the Internet as U.S. adults between 18 and 49, while only less than one-third as much time watching television and listening to radio.
Bloggers: Active Web 2.0 participants
The study found that bloggers are active Web 2.0 participants. They are early adopters for new Web technologies such as RSS and Twitter.
On average, they participate in five of the 10 Web 2.0 activities listed in the survey, and one-third even adopt more than seven.
Advertising/Content Enticing Bloggers
In terms of the advertising and content which entice them, bloggers said they are most open to receive marketing messages and brand information from other blogs. Other non-blog Web content is also ranked high among bloggers, compared to traditional media sources.
In terms of the future of the medium, bloggers hold different point of views but prognosticate it will keep growing, morph, and then become more ubiquitous. “There will be more blogs used in education, particularly among K-12 students and teachers. Bookmarks will merge with blogs for those of us who use our blogs as note-pads or filing cabinets. Blog archives will be viewed as a rich source of cultural history. Blogs will be a means for more collaborative team work. People will expect businesses, media, and print organizations, even government organisations, to have some form of blog, in order to promote communication. Blogging will also help to provide insight to businesses about their consumers,” blogger Lynn Marentette stated in a blog posting.
The complete study can be found here.

Kickdefella is doing the more-than-one-way-to-skin-a-cat on Najib!
Kinda like this Kickdefella for what he stands for, but he has gone down the gutter way!
Its like saying to Sheih Azidi-Kickdefella's face "if I have my way I will call you a bastard, but since it is not nice to call you a bastard, then I will not call you a bastard".
Notice that I have already call him a bastard to his face three times. It is the art of a more than one way to skin a cat!
This is reference to Kickdefella's blogsite on Najib and his wife Rosmah titled "We know what Najib and spouse did last Raya", read here. It was suggested writer might have been paid to spread the lies! Read here too!
I do not know what will it take for people like Raja Petra Kamaruddin or Sheih Azidi Kickdefella to have Najib do to make them believe that the deputy prime minister has nothing to with a murder of a Mongolian girl. I guess there is nothing that Najib can do to convince them that he has nothing to do with the murder!
Actually it does not matter if Najib is not guilty at all, but all they want is he will not be the next prime minister of Malaysia. It is really a very simple logic! Najib is just a breath away from being the next prime minister, by March?!, and there are people who think that theywill have a lot to lose if he does.
So if that is the case, desperate men will employ desperate measures to spread more innuendos and lies so their paymaster or political masters will be happy Najib will not inherit the premiership from Pak Lah!
I was told, as I am writing this, certain son-in-law that shall remain nameless has met YB BABI to plan the "death" of Najib. You know what, I do know what these two did many summers ago in the US and England, but never mind that! This is another story! So you see when we can concocted what people do with other people at every Raya or summer. But I am surprise my good friend Sheih Kickdefella, as I recalled when we had beer together, that he struck me as a good political strategist for Pas, but not a hack writer....in the same vein as RPK!!!?
As for you Sheih Kickdefella that is really hitting below the fucking belt, with your blog on Najib!
Cheers!

To qualify this two condition must be met:
1. Direct interest in the case, in short with the mongolian woman.
2. High up in the authority to give instruction that junior will follow.

But that does not mean these people are the inner circle! Just like Razak Baginda!
For you to suggest, for example, just because Razak is shagging some foreign girls that Najib must know?! I think you are YB BABI or PR sympathizer. Hail a new King?
Sheih Kickdefella. Syed Azidi's delicious concoction h e r e about what the Deputy Prime Minister's wife was supposed to have been up to lately [like giving the PM a sum of RM200 million from a submarine sale commission and meeting a missing P.I. on the British isle to pay hum RM5 million in bribes) has caused concern among some of his close blogging buddies.
At least one has compared him here to RPK, the Malaysia Today editor now being detained under the ISA, who once vowed he would take down Najib and who even signed a statutory declaration saying Rosmah was present when Mongolian beauty Altantuya C4-ed.
A journo-blogger has accused Sheih here as being paid by "one of the leaders of an Opposition party".
Immediately, the question that came to my mind was: Is it wrong for a blogger to be paid to blog? Some bloggers are paid via ads by Google, car companies, record labels, even newspapers. Sheih is an employee of the State Government of Kelantan and paid by the PAS government. I'm sure some are paid directly or discreetly by politicians, just as there are others who openly blog for a certain political party because they are members of that party and , therefore, it is their "job" to help keep their party strong and relevant.
Blogging's high-flyers earn up to US$200,000 a year, according to Tehnorati here. Every blogger I know has entertained some thought about turning "professional". I myself have tried to turn my blog into a gold mine, with no great luck, of course.
No, I don't have any issue with bloggers who are able to earn a living from their blogs. As long as we write the truth and do not concoct lies for those few dollars more.
In Sheih's case, he made some very serious allegations against the PM, the DPM and the DPM's wife. If those allegations are not true, they are lies. To prove that they are not just a concoction of someone's wild imagination, Sheih will have to susbtantiate those allegations.
Knowing him, I'm sure he would.
